Over the years, Non-Stop Media has carried out a wide range of initiatives dedicated to defending freedom of expression and strengthening independent media. These projects reflect our commitment to amplifying silenced voices, supporting writers from marginalized communities, and producing impactful media for advocacy. While each project had its own unique focus, together they highlight our ongoing mission to challenge censorship and expand access to free information. Below is a selection of our previous projects and their contributions.

#1 Iran dar Jahan (IDJ) 2006 - 2013
Iran dar Jahan promoted freedom of information by providing Iranians with direct access to uncensored global news. As the only online daily publication dedicated to translating international media reports about Iran into Persian in full—without editing or alteration—IDJ ensured readers were exposed to a wide spectrum of perspectives. This impartial approach empowered audiences inside Iran and across the diaspora to form independent opinions and engage in informed debate. At a time when theocratic authorities restricted or banned access to international sources, shuttered reformist outlets, and distorted translations to fit state narratives, IDJ undermined censorship by delivering unfiltered reporting. During its eight years of activity under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Roozbeh Mirebrahimi, the publication became a trusted platform fostering civic engagement and supporting democratic development. IDJ’s team of twelve translators—based across ten countries, including the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Bulgaria, Malaysia, India, and Turkey—worked daily to bring news from English, Arabic, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish sources into professional Persian reporting. With aspirations to expand into Hebrew, Chinese, Russian, and Turkish translations, Iran dar Jahan stood as a vital link connecting Iranians with the world’s debates on their country’s political, economic, and civil conditions.

#2 The First Iranian Women’s Sports Magazine – Shirzanan 2006 - 2009
Shirzanan (“heroine” in Persian) was the first online Iranian women’s sports magazine, published weekly as a groundbreaking platform dedicated to an underreported subject with far-reaching women’s rights implications. The magazine covered both amateur and professional sporting events, performances, and news, while also shining a light on the societal restrictions faced by women athletes. Its reports addressed issues such as mandatory clothing and hijab, the controversy surrounding women’s public attendance at sporting events, the challenges of male trainers coaching female athletes, and the systemic discrimination against women in leadership roles within athletic federations and committees. By publicizing sports developments involving Iranian and other Muslim women, Shirzanan not only filled a critical gap in sports journalism but also contributed to the broader debate on women’s civil and political rights.
